Bu çalışma Enver Paşa’nın SSCB basınında nasıl temsil edildiğini ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Sovyet gazetelerinde yer alan haberler, dönemin siyasi, fikri ve içtimai dinamiklerini okuma imkânı sunduğu gibi, Marksist-Leninist ideolojinin olayları hangi çerçevede yorumladığını ve hangi amaçlarla kullandığını da gözler önüne sermektedir. Paşa’nın hayatı ve faaliyetlerinin SSCB basınında hangi mefhumlar ve beyanlar üzerinden işlendiği tafsilatlı biçimde incelenmiştir. Bulgular Sovyetlerin Enver Paşa’yı Türkistan’da kurmayı hedeflediği hâkimiyet karşısında ciddi bir tehdit olarak telakki ettiğini göstermektedir. Paşa’nın haberleştirilen faaliyetleri Sovyetlerin fikri ve siyasi duruşunun bir aynası şeklinde ele alınmalıdır. Araştırmanın veri tabanı 1917-1999 yılları arasında yayımlanan İzvestiya’da 25.634, Pravda’da ise 30.310 sayı olmak üzere, toplam 55.944 nüshanın taranmasıyla oluşturulmuştur. Tarama sonucunda İzvestiya’da Enver Paşa hakkında 40, Pravda’da ise 9 haber bulunarak toplam 49 habere ulaşılmıştır. Makale söz konusu haberler üzerinden Enver Paşa’nın Sovyet basınında ele alınış tarzını, anlatının arkasındaki siyasi ve ideolojik zemini ve Paşa’nın tarihi rolünün nasıl tasvir edildiğini etraflıca değerlendirmektedir. Çalışmanın gayesi haber içeriklerini doğrulamak değildir. Fakat gerekli görülen noktalarda haberlerde yer alan iddialar literatürle karşılaştırılarak bağlam oluşturulmuştur. Çalışma ana akım Türk tarih yazımında rastlanmayan özgün detayları gün yüzüne çıkararak literatüre birincil kaynak niteliğinde katkı sağlamaktadır.
Enver Pasha In the Soviet Press
This study aims to examine how Enver Pasha was represented in the Soviet press. News reports published in Soviet newspapers not only provide an opportunity to read the political, intellectual, and social dynamics of the period, but also reveal how Marxist-Leninist ideology interpreted events and for what purposes it instrumentalized them. The study offers a detailed analysis of the concepts and statements through which Pasha’s life and activities were portrayed in the Soviet press. The findings indicate that the Soviets regarded Enver Pasha as a serious threat to the dominance they sought to establish in Turkestan. His reported activities should therefore be understood as a reflection of the Soviet Union’s ideological and political stance. The study’s database was compiled through a survey of 55,944 issues published between 1917 and 1999, including 25,634 issues of Izvestia and 30,310 issues of Pravda. This search identified a total of 49 news items concerning Enver Pasha: 40 in Izvestia and 9 in Pravda. Drawing on these reports, the article evaluates in detail how Enver Pasha was treated in the Soviet press, the political and ideological foundations underlying this narrative, and the ways in which his historical role was depicted. The purpose of the study is not to verify the factual accuracy of the news content. However, where necessary, claims advanced in the reports have been compared with the relevant literature in order to provide context. By unearthing unique details absent from mainstream Turkish historiography, this study makes a primary-source contribution to the literature.
